Genetically closely related to the Arbequina variety, this variety shares many characteristics with the popular variety that has been growing well and producing yields for years at our member Franz Bräuer's in the Wachau.
Due to its adaptation to ultra-dense planting, we started a hedge project with this variety a few years ago and due to the growth and the fact that it works so well, we decided to call the Arbosana variety the "hedge olive". Due to its self-fertility, the hedge also produces olives.
