The incredible winter hardiness and ability to survive drought, even in the fruiting phase, better than many other varieties probably make it one of the most important varieties for the future of olives in Austria.

“Cornicabra” is considered particularly susceptible to tubercle disease (olive cancer), which overgrows the trunk with the growths that are particularly characteristic of the olive tree. Since many trees have been living with it for hundreds of years, you don't have to worry about it.
